Brown Lines are IN

Shamrock House
Monday saw all the brown tent stitches put in.  I forget how long it takes to do even the simplest stitches.  I hope there will be stitching tomorrow.

Visiting Amy in Memphis totally reenergized my needlepoint.  I am on a rollllll!!!  Even doing a Sunday post.

Joseph from Heartstrings Nativity
I buckled down and finished the background on him.

Halloween piece from ???
I stitched this many years ago and pulled it out to start decorating for Halloween!

Shamrock House by Squiggee

I have been so inspired by the stitching of these cute 3-D houses by the other Swans.  I pulled mine out.  It went to Memphis with me and Amy chose the yummy pink and green NPI silk.

Adorable Finishing by Kim

This adorable Squiggee Halloween House was stitched by DF and finished by Kim.  Too cute for words!

Kelly Clark Snowflake Pear from The French Knot
I stitched this and Kim finished it.

Doctor by Rogue Needlepoint through Amy's Golden Strand
I stitched this but was completely stumped for a background.  Carolyn Baird came up with the green subway tiles you see so frequently in hospitals.  She's a genius.  And Kim finished it.

Even More Problems Solved

Kelly Clark Halloween Topiary
I bought this with a stitch guide.  The background was beyond me.  I found this stitch in one of my Landscape books.  Amy selected the perfect color of Presencia stranded cotton.

Planter
I added the jewelry rounds for planter handles.  So cute.

Kelly Clark MC Style Pear

KC MC Style Pear from The French Knot
Black and white checks are done in reverse scotch with Trebizond.  The red body is stitched with silk in a pavilion pattern.
Beaded the red and gold flowers

Purple and pink flowers
I am going to use these beautiful colors of silk ribbon suggested to me by Carolyn Baird for the other flowers in the Spider Stitch.

Leaves
The green that came with the kit didn't work for me.  Amy suggested this overdyed Gloriana.  It's just a little clearer and the overdyed will create some interest.  Perfection.

Amy Bunger is Wonderful

Shelly Tribbey's Three French Hens
Steph/Eliz 3.0 was so much fun.  I started out with this very old canvas.  I have such trouble with birds.

My Spot

Tail feathers

Double Stitch for the head and neck

Finished head and neck
You can also see the French Knots with Neon Rays for the comb and a Filled Lazy Daisy for the waddle or whatever that thing hanging down from the beak is.

Relaxing

Relaxing after a hard day's stitching by stitching in bed.  What else?

Eliz/Steph 3.0

Sorry the blog has been a bit of a bore lately.  Not much stitching getting done as I am preparing for my trip to Memphis to see Amy with Elizabeth!  Our third trip there together and I can't wait.  Why do we go?

All of the above are stitched from Amy Bunger stitch guides!  Fabulous!

Baby Jesus from Heartstrings Nativity
Working the body of the star with three strands of floss.
Pumpkin from Associated Talents
Criss-cross Hungarian on the pumpkin body with Silk Lame.  Not sure I like it.

London Bus by Princess and Me
I stitched the fender grate with two strands of floss.  I am stitching the hubcaps with Flair.

Susan Roberts
And look what I found in the Susan Roberts catalog at The Needle Works.   I would love to have this.
